SUNRISE...SUNSET

Here's something we've been working on in class...

Since the earth's tilt is responsible for the change in seasons in a year, we are interested in comparing the number of daylight hours at our school to the number of daylight hours at your school -- for an entire year.

If you go to http://aa.usno.navy.mil/data/docs/RS_OneYear.php you can get a table of sunrise and sunset times for your location. Print off tables for both 2007 and 2008.

Calculate the number of daylight hours for an entire year (Sept., 2007 - Aug., 2008).

Make a bar graph of the daylight hours (I have a template I can email to you).

As soon as we're done making our bar graph and posting it in our classroom, we'll post a photo!

Hope to hear from you soon!

We are the Eagles...the mighty, mighty Eagles!
And we say, "Welcome to Washington."

The specific mission of Three Rivers Christian School shall be to glorify God by providing quality, biblically based, Christ-centered education dedicated to developing students with a Christian world view, who are spiritually, socially, physically and academically prepared to impact the world for Christ.

Through our 8th grade science course we want to explore the Earth God created and share our discoveries with Mrs. Young's class in Arkansas.

Are y'all ready for this!! We are pumped up and ready to go!

Here I am hamming it up this summer at Meteor Crater (aka, Barringer Crater) in Arizona. The crater is featured in our Earth Science textbook in Chapter...um, I'll look it up!

I am looking forward to our classes sharing discoveries and getting to know each other as brothers and sisters in Christ!
