SUNRISE...SUNSET

Here's something we've been working on in class...

Since the earth's tilt is responsible for the change in seasons in a year, we are interested in comparing the number of daylight hours at our school to the number of daylight hours at your school -- for an entire year.

If you go to http://aa.usno.navy.mil/data/docs/RS_OneYear.php you can get a table of sunrise and sunset times for your location. Print off tables for both 2007 and 2008.

Calculate the number of daylight hours for an entire year (Sept., 2007 - Aug., 2008).

Make a bar graph of the daylight hours (I have a template I can email to you).

As soon as we're done making our bar graph and posting it in our classroom, we'll post a photo!

Hope to hear from you soon!
